Tucker opens the discussion w/talk about Ehud Barak and his views on Iraq, it is Barak's opinion that the U.S. should have pulled out three weeks after the invasion, Tucker opens the conversation to his guests by asking what they think. Richard Cohen states that Ehud Barak made some good points, but he doesn t agree w/the three week timeline. He goes on to say that Iraq would have imploded if we had pulled out, the lack of government would pulled other middle eastern counties into the lawless state which might have fueled more wide spread war & terrorism. Hilary Rosen states that we didn't find weapons of mass destruction & we got the bad guy, she agree w/Ehud Barak and feels that getting out allows the country to decide what direction they want to go.

Richard Cohen states that Americans are already talking like that, the movement will grow & the administrations needs to figure out when the U.S. should get out. He goes on to say that if Iraq is going to implode w/civil war it is best to get out now in order to avoid a repeat of Vietnam.

Tucker talks about how people on both sides of the political spectrum are saying that the Iraq war was waged for Israel, don't you think our support for Israel is a main reason why we are hated in the middle east and no one says that out loud, why? Richard Cohen agrees that is the main reason why the U.S. is hated in the middle east. He goes on to say that the U.S. didn't go to war for Israel nor did they play a strategic role, Israel has problems w/Iran not Iraq. Cohen states that it was determined before the war that Iraq didn't have WMDs, but Iran does & was the support of terrorism in the mid-east.

Tucker talks about Michael Moore's views of the Iraq war as seen through his movie "Fahrenheit 911", it's Moore's opinion that we went to war to help the Saudis, the oil companies & Halliburton, is this pure hatred for Bush? Hilary Rosen responds by saying that what Moore has done is a great service for the American people, he poses many unanswered questions like: Why hasn't Bush told the truth about his relationship w/Saudi money, Why do we have mixed stories about Chaney & Halliburton & Why don't we know what our goal is in Iraq. She continues to say that this movie shows the horror of what the war is doing to Iraqi people & American soldiers.

Tucker makes reference to Lee Harvey Oswald meeting w/the Soviet Embassy in Mexico City having no significance in the assassination of JFK, so throwing out Bush's family connections to Osama Bin Laden, the association doesn't really mean anything. Hilary Rosen responds by saying that the Bin Laden family has been off the hook and Bush has not been pressing them about the black sheep. Tucker states that Bush has made mistakes, why not hate him for that instead of making a conspiracy out of it? Richard Cohen hasn't seen the movie but believes its insane to blame Halliburton ect. for the war, the reasons are on record: An attempt by neo-cons in the administration to reorganize the middle east & set up a democracy.

Tucker states that personal attacks don't work, Bill Clinton's approval rating rose after impeachment, "Isn't the left making a tactical error, political error, in attacking Bush personally using conspiracy theories, doesn t that turn off the voters you need?" Hilary Rosen responds by saying that Moore's raising questions about Bush hasn't been a personal attack, he's not raising conspiracy theories he's just asking questions & they should be answered.
