VO: "The country gives a refresher course to 1000 combat veterans before they head for Korea. In proportion to population, this is equivalent to 80,000 troops from the United States. The advance group assembles in Wellington. They re part of an artillery unit, the first New Zealand group troops to go to Korea. Known as the K Force, it consists only of volunteers. Their relatives and friends gather at the pier to send them off. None of the men are married. Scenes of farewell like these are taking place in many parts of the world. As the United States asks for more help in Korea from U.N. member nations, New Zealand makes its contribution."
