The former Soviet Union weighs in on ths issue of apartheid in South Africa. Of course, like any good superpower, the USSR sympathizes with the oppressed peoples, openly condemning the racist and imperialist government in place there. They were also interested in supplanting that lamentable institution with one of their own, i.e. Soviet-styled Communism, going so far as to invite members of the struggle to Moscow.
